Cold rolled strip steel

Cold-rolled steel strip is a thin and wide steel product produced by cold-rolling process. It has the characteristics of high dimensional accuracy, smooth surface and excellent mechanical properties. It is widely used in automobiles, household appliances, construction, machinery manufacturing and other fields. The following is a detailed introduction to cold-rolled steel strip:
  1. Production process of cold-rolled steel strip

   Raw material: Hot-rolled steel coils (thickness 2.0~6.0mm) are usually used as blanks.

   Pickling: Remove the iron oxide sheet on the surface of the hot-rolled coil.

   Cold rolling: It is rolled many times by the rolling mill at room temperature to make the steel strip reach the target thickness (usually 0.2~3.0mm), accompanied by
   processing hardening in the process.       

   Annealing: Eliminate internal stress and improve plasticity, which is divided into continuous annealing and hood annealing.

   Fining: flattening, cutting, splitting, etc., to ensure the size and surface quality.

2. Classification of cold-rolled steel strip by material:

- Low-carbon steel strip (SPCC, DC01, etc.): general-purpose type, used for stamping and bending.

- High-strength steel strip (DP steel, TRIP steel, etc.): automobile structural parts.

- Stainless steel strip (304, 430, etc.): corrosion-resistant scene.

- Surface treatment:

- Galvanized (GI), tin-plated (ETL), color coating (PPGI), etc.
